And so we come to our first class walk through London.

We saw buildings. Lots and lots of buildings. And I'm not going to write about them all because it was mostly class related and I'd just end up boring you all.

And of course I had to snatch a picture of the bar called The Queens Larder.

The next few pictures are of the fancy Hotel Russel.

And this is the park across from the Hotel Russel.

The front of the British Museum is pretty neat too.

Oh yeah, there's a Queen musical in London. We never quite got around to seeing it though. Wish we could have.

A comic book store in Soho. We actually went there quite a  few times, since it was so close to our classroom (twenty minutes or so walking distance.)

And an interestingly named froyo place. We never did end up going in there.

We of course made our way to Piccadilly Circus...

...which is a hop, skip, and a jump away from Leicester Square...

...which in turn is a slightly longer hop, skip, and jump from Trafalgar Square.

And it being Easter Friday, there just so happened to be a show going on.

Admiralty Arch is right by Trafalgar Square and was also pretty to look at.

And an old palace, with the London Eye in the background.

Oh, over on the other side of that wall back there is Downing Street, which is where the Prime Minister's office is. Many of us Doctor Who fans were sad when we learned there would be no visiting 10 Downing Street due to the entire street being off limits. Ah well, that's what happens when bad people do bad things.

And of course we saw good ol' Big Ben.

Snapped a quick picture together in front of Big Ben (oh hey, for those of you following the blog but with no idea as to what I look like, that's me in all black next to Tea. Well, the bookbag strap is a sort of light green, but that's beside the point.)

And we saw Westminster Abbey, which is, in my opinion, stunning to look at.

I like taking pictures of old crosses. They'll come up again.

Different types of windows!

And this is part of the Houses of Parliament.

Then back to Westminster Abbey.

And a nice, old market that we didn't go shopping at because it was Easter Friday and everything was closed.

And then more buildings again.

This is fake. Meant to look Victorian but it isn't.

And the Tower of London, but only from the outside. Several of us did go as a group several weeks later to actually go inside, and it was pretty freaking awesome, but...I can't find any pictures, meaning either I didn't take any or they all mysteriously vanished...

And we got to see the Tower Bridge open! Barely managed to get this photo before it closed.

This actually belongs up with the Admiralty Arch photos, I have no idea what it is doing down here, but ah well, I'm too lazy to move it.

And that's the end of the photo's from our first class walk. The next set will be of the next day there, Saturday, where you'll get to see photo's of the Sherlock Holmes Museum. I'll have those up soon - I know people are waiting for some other, more interesting photo's to finally get up. We'll get there as soon as we make it to that time period.
