Our first Monday in London

I have to admit, going through the pictures is making me pretty darn nostalgic.

Anyway, here are some more, now from our first Monday in London. Again, it was a class walk so most of the info that goes along with them is what we were being told for class so I won't bore you with the details.

That said, these next several are Tudor buildings.

Okay, I lied, I'm going to bore you with one tidbit of information. See how the stacks here all different? That's how can tell if a Tudor building is an original or a restoration/fake. The original will have different designs.

And now some other buildings...

In the distance here is St. Paul's Cathedral.

Several weeks after these pictures were taken, we had a morning committed to St. Paul's, where we climbed to the very tippy top. It was an arduous climb but completely worth the terrifying, breathtaking view from the top. But you'll have to wait to see those pictures.

Then we went off to Greenwhich, where we climbed up to the Observatory. These are a few views from up top.

And then some views of the Observatory.

Here, have some pictures with writing that you can read if you want.

And an old telescope - we were able to see Saturn through it! (It was a fake, of course).

And then some pictures of ceilings, because they were pretty.

And a few statues, of course.

Let's not forget the organ.

And this picture also belongs up farther and I have no idea what it is doing down here. Of course, I'm going to be lazy and just leave it down here.

And hey, you guys have been wonderful, so here, have some extra pics... of us taking a quick trip out to Hogwarts.

(Note: These are both Tea's. I'll make sure to let you all know when something belongs to her instead of me.)

Alrighty, that's it for now. Our next set is going to finally start getting to the uber good stuff!
